She noticed there was blood on the bed, but “was told it was fine and that she would get used to it,” according to the indictment. Jane Doe 7 was far from the only woman duped into filming pornography for the subscription website GirlsDoPorn. Her experience ultimately led to a San Diego Superior Court room where—one by one over the course of several months—22 millennial women answered affirmatively when attorneys for GirlsDoPorn asked them if they had ever viewed porn online. Yet in this fraud trial, these women all claimed they believed the porn videos they shot, which were published among GirlsDoPorn’s library of hundreds of porn flicks viewed collectively over one billion times, would never get posted online. They told me that once I checked in to the ER with a sexual assault claim, no one would be able to find me there; they couldn’t tell anyone I was a patient and it “would be as if I was never there.” I was incredibly relieved by that.

This development includes a constitutional amendment and a separate bill, both aimed at providing a legal pathway for victims. The proposed legislation would enable all victims to sue regardless of previous time constraints. However, the fate of these bills in the Senate remains unclear, with concerns about legal challenges and the potential financial impact on public institutions. On Oct. 10, the operators of popular pornography website Girls Do Porn were charged with trafficking and conspiracy in a federal criminal complaint. But The Appeal has learned that three women who say they were victimized by the men behind the site filed police reports as far back as 2015.

It was during those succeeding hours — from about 9 p.m. From there, the scheme grew digitally. These women were recruited via Craigslist modeling ads and then directed to fill out contact forms on benign-sounding websites like BeginModeling.com and CaliforniaModeling.com. They were then contacted by Garcia, who revealed applicants were actually being recruited to film a 30-minute porn video that they would be paid several thousand dollars to film.
